NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CLATSOP COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clatsop County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing starting shortly after 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the Judge Guy Boyington Building, 857 Commercial Street, Astoria, OR, to consider the following:
Considering revisions to the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) panels, revised June 20, 2018;, revisions to the flood Insurance Study (FIS) for unincorporated Clatsop County, revised June 20, 2018; and amendments to the Land and Water Development and Use Ordinance 80-14, Article 4, Special Districts, Sections 4.000-4.032. Flood Hazard Overlay District (/FHO).
A draft copy of Ordinance #18-03 is available online at www.co.clatsop.or.us/landuse. Copies of all documents are available for inspection at the Clatsop County Planning Division at 800 Exchange St, Suite 100, during normal business hours (M-F, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) at no cost, and may also be obtained at reasonable cost. A copy of the final staff report will be available for inspection at the Planning Division at no cost at least seven days prior to the hearing and may also be obtained at a reasonable cost. The staff report will also be posted at least seven days prior to the hearing on the Planning Division’s Pending Land Use Applications website: www.co.clatsop.or.us/projects.
All interested parties are invited to testify in person by attending the hearing or in writing by addressing comments to the Clatsop County Planning Commission, 800 Exchange Street, Suite 100, Astoria, OR 97103. Written comments may also be sent via FAX to 503-338-3606 or via email to email@example.com. Written comments must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Monday, March 12, 2018, in order to be included in the agenda packet. Written comments received by 4:00 PM on Monday, March 19, 2018, will be presented at the hearing. Testimony will be accepted at the hearing up to the point when the Chair closes the public comment portion of the hearing. Failure of an issue to be raised in the hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the Planning Commission an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes an appeal based on that issue.
